Profile

Our client is looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their busy and friendly Asset & Debt Recovery Team, based in Dublin 2.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing a high-volume, fast-moving workload.

  • Assisting Asset & Debt Recovery Team with administration function.

  • Taking instructions from clients.

  • Liaising with clients over court outcomes and next steps.

  • Dealing with incoming correspondence from agents, solicitors and defendants.

  • Dealing with incoming telephone calls from agents, solicitors and defendants.

  • Assisting with instructing summons servers and tracing agents.

  • Preparation of briefs.

  • Preparing reports.

  • Drafting letters.

  • Liaising with court services.

  • Ensuring safe and efficient handling of confidential data.

 

Key skills and experience: 

The ideal candidate should have one to two years of experience working in a law firm. Previous experience in Mortgage Litigation is a significant advantage.

  • Calm, professional and approachable manner

  • Excellent administration skills which demonstrate an eye for detail and an ability to organise, manage and prioritise work within the team

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a strong team player with a desire to learn 

  • Strong IT Skills including competency in Word, Excel, Outlook, experience of case management systems (Keyhouse is an advantage) and excellent numeracy skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
