Quality Assurance Technician - Cavan

Reed Recruitment is partnering with our fantastic Client based in Cavan in their search for a Quality Assurance Technician.

The candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all products meet the company’s quality standards and specifications. You will work closely with the production team to monitor and evaluate product quality, conduct inspections, and perform testing to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal quality benchmarks.

Duties in the role:

  • Perform in-process and final product inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Conduct routine and non-routine quality checks using measuring instruments, gauges, and testing equipment
  • Review and approve manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation for compliance with quality standards
  • Identify, document, and report any quality defects, discrepancies, or deviations from specifications
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in audits of production lines and manufacturing processes
  • Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and documentation
  • Ensure proper documentation of inspections and test results in compliance with ISO or other relevant standards
  • Commissioning and maintenance of laboratory equipment, components, devices, or measurement systems, including adjustment / prestart checks/asset care and calibration scheduling as appropriate. Equipment includes but is not limited to, the following: Quality inspection vision systems, FTIR, UV Transmittance in solution, UV Microscopy, Melt Flow, Impact resistance, Mechanical resistance, and others.
  • Controlling the Documentation of all incoming Raw materials, performing QC analysis and reporting on the results
  • Work closely with other departments, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to ensure that corrective actions are implemented and tracked
  • Monitor and maintain calibration of quality control equipment and instruments
  • This hands-on position supports our new state-of-the-art circularity facility and the existing extrusion factory with five high-volume sheet extrusion lines
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment under company health and safety standards
