We are currently seeking to recruit a Banking & Property Finance Solicitor to join the Banking Department of this mid-tier Dublin 2 law firm. This is a great opportunity to work in a progressive and dynamic professional banking team with 2 Partners and an organisation with 40 members of staff.
The role will involve working with a client base comprised of pillar banks, alternative lenders and also borrowers in different lending sectors. The role would require the successful candidate to:
• Take ownership of matters delegated to him/her to bring them from beginning to end;
• Working as part of a larger team where the mandate requires it;
• Work closely with other team members in terms of business strategy implementation and growth;
• Carrying out property investigations and lease reviews and advising Lenders on same;
• To advise banks/borrowers in relation to secured/unsecured bilateral and syndicated loans; and
• Other ad-hoc banking & property finance work as required within the Department.
Required Experience:
• Excellent academic record
• Good exposure to commercial and residential conveyancing during traineeship and since being qualified.
• Previous exposure to banking transactions is preferable but not essential and has a willingness to learn such banking transactions.
• Experience in commercial property transactions.
• Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team
• Commercial acumen and excellent analytical skills
• A sociable person, capable of communicating at all levels with an ability to communicate points clearly in a non-confrontational manner
• A calm and measured approach to problem solving
• A willingness to work hard above and beyond normal office hours if required
The Candidate:
Ideal candidate will be 1 - 3 years qualified, with work experience in the relevant areas.
