Litigation Legal Secretary

Applicants should have experience in the area of defence litigation.

The candidate should be enthusiastic, professional and have good attention to detail.  The successful candidate should have good typing skills, telephone manner and communication and computer skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in using the Keyhouse system is essential;
  • Typing, filing, file management, photocopying and scanning;
  • Strong typing speeds, 60+ wpm;
  • Liaising with clients, counsel and other professional experts and advisers;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and work to strict deadlines;
  • Ability to work on their own initiative to progress files;
  • Strong work ethic;
  • Other ad hoc duties as required such as providing back-up cover for reception.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as legal secretary preferably in litigation;
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and digital dictation;
  • Ability to multitask;
  • Excellent organisational, communication and telephone skills.
