Duties in the position:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and plans aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, including financial managers, analysts, and accountants
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and risk management.
- Manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management.
- Monitor financial performance against budget, forecast, and key performance indicators (KPIs), analysing variances and trends.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure integrity in financial reporting.
- Assess and manage financial risks, including currency exchange risk, interest rate risk, credit risk, and market risk.
- Lead financial analysis and modelling initiatives to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Evaluate and optimize capital structure, financing options, and investment opportunities.
- Provide financial insights and guidance to senior management and the board of directors.
- Lead mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, including due diligence, valuation, negotiation, and integration efforts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes affecting the organization's financial operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
