About the role:

Our client is currently recruiting for a Legal Costs Administrator to join their Accounts Team. This role can be based in Dublin or a hybrid role.

Ideally you will have worked in a plaintiff litigation costs capacity

Responsibilities

  • Administer matters from settlement of case to closure of file
  • Maintain list of matters and their statuses
  • Monitoring office and client account costs on matters
  • Create costs files for Legal Costs Accountant
  • Reconcile matter costs to Legal Costs Accountant’s statement
  • Communication and correspondence with Client, Legal Costs Accountants, Experts and Legal Counsel
  • Filing all case correspondence
  • Preparing payments to clients, witnesses and counsel
  • Regular meetings with Partners and Legal Costs Accountants
  • Set up new client profiles on case management system
  • Handle client billing when required
  • Posting outlay to case management system

Requirements:

  • Strong administration skills – Letter writing
  • Preparation of Finance records
  • Familiarity with Practice Evolve Case an advantage Management
  • Strong numeracy skills with an impressive attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Prior experience with billing systems and Client Outlay
  • Preferable legal cost accountant experience or Litigation Law, Firms Costs experience
